Our Club pledged to donate $5 for every goal that our teams scored in October to a non-profit to help support breast cancer research or funding for patients. We scored 187 goals in October. Yesterday, the Club donated $935 to the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund. On top of that, we had an anonymous parent in the Club match the donation. Combined, the total donation was $1,870.
The Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund provides funding for women in our community to obtain screening for mammograms and treatments if necessary.
Last year, the Club donated $505 to the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. Together, over the last two years, we have donated $2,375 to help this important cause.
